THE EVENT.
Hosted annually by Big Eddy Glassworks, the Big Eddy Winter Market is an outdoor celebration of local art, creativity, and community. Featuring artisan vendors, glassblowing demonstrations, live music, food trucks, and a licensed beverage garden, the event attracts thousands of residents and visitors for an evening of holiday shopping and winter festivities.

Tourism Revelstoke has long supported the Big Eddy Winter Market through shuttle services and event promotion. In 2025, we partnered with organizers to conduct an economic impact assessment to better understand the value community events bring to Revelstoke.
THE RESULTS.
The 2025 Big Eddy Winter Market demonstrated the significant economic and community value of local events:
• Nearly 2,000 attendees participated in the one-night event.
• 57 vendors showcased their products, including artists, makers, retailers, food producers, and community organizations.
• Estimated vendor sales exceeded $69,000.
• Estimated total economic activity that was generated for the entire community from this event was $81,000.
• 70% of vendors reported that more than half of their sales were to new customers.
• 70% of vendors expect future sales and business opportunities as a result of participating in the market.
